A Family Business, Born From a Resale Shop

Brassager got its start the way a lot of good products do — by accident, almost.

Fourteen years ago, Laurie Stephens and her husband opened a vintage hardware business, buying, restoring, and reselling antique brass fixtures and fittings. Customers loved the look of aged, antique brass — that deep, warm brown patina that only comes with decades of wear. To keep up with demand, we needed a faster way to recreate that look ourselves, so we developed our own brass aging formula.

It worked so well that customers started asking where they could buy it — they wanted to age their own hardware at home, the same way we did. So we started offering it as a standalone product. That formula became Brassager, also known simply as Brass Ager.

Still Family-Owned, Still Made in the USA

Brassager is a registered trade name of Redposie LLC, and we remain a family-owned business to this day. Every bottle is made right here in the USA — the same formula we originally created for our own shop, now used by restoration professionals, furniture makers, antique dealers, and DIYers across the country.
