This is the same Brassager (Brass Ager) formula used across our full product line — a ready-to-use solution that ages brass, copper, bronze, and tin to a rich, authentic antique patina. Buying in bulk cuts your per-ounce cost significantly versus individual bottles, making this the practical choice for restoration shops, hardware refinishers, furniture makers, or anyone working through large quantities of brass parts.

Apply it the same way as our standard sizes: prep bare metal with #0000 steel wool and acetone, then brush on or submerge parts until they reach the color depth you want. Rinse with water and adjust the finish with dry steel wool as needed.

What's included	Gloves
Before you Start	Work in a well-ventilated space and keep gloves on throughout. In case of skin or eye contact, flush immediately with water.
Prepping the metal	Brassager only bonds with bare metal — any lacquer, plating, or clear coat needs to come off first (acetone or a stripping agent will handle that). Scuff the surface with #0000 steel wool Wipe it down thoroughly with acetone and a clean paper towel Handle it with clean hands from here — oil from your fingers will interfere with an even finish
Applying the solution	Small pieces: Pour Brassager into a plastic container Submerge the item fully Hold for roughly 30 seconds Lift it out and check the color against what you're going for Larger pieces: Pour a working amount into a bowl, then either brush it on or soak the piece until the brown tone develops.
Sizing guide	2–8 oz — jewelry, cabinet hardware, buckles, small screws, keyhole covers 32 oz — mid-size pieces like firearm parts or ceiling fan components 1 gallon+ — larger-scale work: sheet metal, trim, marine hardware
Dialing in the finish	Rinse with water once you've hit the color you want. To lighten it back down, buff gently with dry #0000 steel wool until you land on the exact shade you're after.
If it fades	Patina can soften over time with wear or exposure — just repeat the same application process to refresh it.
Storage & shelf life	Properly stored, Brassager holds for 2–5 years. Pour any unused solution back into its original bottle after use Keep it between 60°F–80°F, away from freezing temps or excessive heat
Important	Brassager won't react with lacquered, brass-plated, or nickel-plated surfaces. The metal has to be fully bare for the solution to work.
